Deborah Kahn

started her publishing career over 20 years ago moving through production, editorial and commissioning roles to senior management in the Thomson Corporation, first as Journals Publisher at Chapman & Hall, and then as Product Development Director at Derwent Information.

Deborah has worked as a consultant to the publishing and information industries since 1998, with clients ranging from multinational publishing companies, small start-ups, not-for-profits, government and NGOs. Deborah specialises in the human aspects of change in information and publishing companies. She holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from the University of London.

Helen Whitehorn

has over 20 years experience in the publishing industry. She has worked in both book and magazine sectors and held senior management roles as a board director with Arnold (Hodder Headline Group) and as Head of Book Production with Harcourt Brace.

Since 1999, Helen has been providing consultancy to a wide variety of publishing, institutional and academic clients. This work has included strategic consultancy on asset management, integrated production systems and project management of print and electronic products. Helen has developed and presented courses for Women in Publishing.

Pearse Conlon

is a qualified psychologist with a background in magazine publishing and advertising, having spent the first part of his working life working for Reed Business Information.

For the past 14 years he has worked as a business, training and development consultant with a wide range of organisations, which amongst others include Newsquest Media Group, Reed Elsevier, The Telegraph, PR Newswire, The Financial Times, The Newspaper Society and Walker Books.
